Note:
HEALTH INSURANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS. FOR THOSE WITHOUT INSURANCE THEY WILL HAVE TO PAY 50,400 TO NHIF. THE INSTITUTE WILL COLLECT THE MONEY AND REMIT TO NHIF ON THEIR BEHALF
Other costs:
Meals
Low priced, quality meals are available at the Institutes canteen at student’s cost; at least, 5000 shillings per day will be needed daily
Stationery
- Writing material- at least 5 counter books per semester
- Pens
- Folders, paper punch etc
Reference materials
The Institute has soft copies for all the required textbooks that students can access by CD-ROMS at the computer library.
Items for clinical training (ACOs and COs training)
At the beginning of the 2nd semester a student will be required to bring the following items:
- A white coat
- A clinical thermometer
- A stethoscope
- Other items as may be recommended by the lecturer
Personal items
The student is required to bring the following personal items
- A mattress- 6feet x 3feet, 6inches thickness. This is property of the student that they will go away with after graduation
- Toilet and laundry soap, tooth brushes, toilet sandals
- Toilet paper
